1971 Plymouth Scamp - Phase V - It's Show Time!
After waiting what seemed like 10 years, the car finally made its way into the body shop for much needed straightening and paint.

These pictures were taken in September of 2001.

The very first picture since the repaint and a whole lot of detailing.  Here she
is with body work, paint and the new top.  By the way, this is the original
Gold color.

Another picture of the passenger side...

And then...

Rotating around to the front...

Oh yeah, it as new windshield too.  $172.00, I thought that was a good deal.

.
Close up of the front fender area.  This show the new "Scamp" sticker, the
"Valiant" emblem above it and the "V EIGHT" emblem which was meticulously
repainted.  This also show the single pinstripe that runs along the body line.
Notice something missing....???  How about the Chrysler "star" missing
from behind the tire on the fender.  I'm ordering a new one.

Close up of the rear fender and deck lid.  Again, new "Scamp" sticker and
the "PLYMOUTH" emblem in the correct spot just above it.  A special effort
was made on this car to place the emblems and stickers in the exact
as when it arrived from the factory.

Interior pretty much unchanged from phase IV.  I have entered this car
in a couple shows, which have yielded the dash plaques you see.

The trunk contains a new trunk mat, along with the "Boom" part of the
sound system.  Hard to see, but on the axle hump is a vinyl covered
board which a speaker box (containing a 10" sub) and a 600 watt
4-channel amp.  Under the package tray hang two 300 watt 6x9 speakers
covered by acoustical carpet to hide the entire package.

New in phase V are the chrome valve covers and a new washer jar.
I am soon getting rid of that air conditioning bracket and going to repaint
the radiator.  I also have a new battery hold down, but that's no big deal.
