My 1975 Plymouth Valiant Brougham...
This car was purchased on July 3rd, 2002 for $400.  I wasn't looking for a car this new or a Brougham for that matter, but the car had some cool options and has potential to be a cool, comfortable ride.  Once fixed up and restored, it will be driven during the summer and to a show or two.  My hopes is to make this one of the best looking 1975 Valiant Broughams around.  Tough looking, tough sounding, but a comfy cruiser.

Original pictures taken at purchase...
Exterior Pictures:  The body is in pretty decent shape.  There is body work needed at the front corners and in the rear passenger quarter panel.  There does not appear to be any rust.  The original paint color was Cloud Metallic Silver, which was covered with a cheap flat gray color that is peeling off.  The chrome trim around the headlights needs to be replaced.  Bumpers are in decent shape.  The car has a maroon vinyl top, which will come off and not be replaced.  The car will be painted the original silver color.

Interior Pictures:  One of the best parts of this car is the interior.  While it is REALLY, REALLY red inside, it is clean and void to any significant damage.  The dash pad is in excellent shape with no cracks.  The dash itself is good, but t he previous owner chopped a hole for a CD-player.  I will probably just put another CD-player in the same hole.  The carpet also is good.  The factory seats are a set of velour buckets up front.  They sit lower then a bench and are in excellent shape, just needing some cleaning.  The back seat is the same, but has a small hole (visible in the picture) toward the driver side.  The factory center arm rest is also in good shape.  The headliner is a covered cardboard type and is in good shape.  The package tray could use a repaint, it's a little faded from the Idaho sun.

Engine Pictures:  This car came with the factory 318 2bbl engine.  The engine is pretty dirty in these photos.  The car needed a oil pump, but did generate some pressure at about 2500rpm.  It has now been mostly cleaned up and the oil pump has been replaced.  It starts quickly and runs well.  Next, I need to tear into the manifold and get some head work done.
