1971 Plymouth Scamp - Phase I
This is how our newest Scamp looked soon after we got her home.  The trip home was interesting as we went through a case of oil due to a large leak at the front seal.

These pictures make the body look better than it really is.  You'll see how much body work was needed in the Phase IV pictures.

Sitting the back yard waiting to be worked on.  The vinyl top was in
excellent shape.  That's my step-son hoping one day it will be his.
Not bad for $600.

From the front, you can see the grill had a nice hole in it.  It also sat up
pretty high in front for having a V8 under the hood.

Clean from the back.  The valance was a little messed up, but not
too bad.  Missing trunk cylinder.  That's my cat sitting on the package tray.

The interior is a cream color bench seat... pretty standard.  The seats, carpet
and dash pad were in horrible condition.  The windshield was cracked
and the radio was missing. When this picture was taken, we had installed
the steel trimmed gas and brake pedals.  Otherwise it's as we bought it.

Here is a very stock 318 2bbl engine.  We used the 2BBL for about
a month, but got a free Holley manifold on 4BBL carb to put on it.  The
bad front seal allowed oil to pour out of it... 12 quarts in 60 miles
to be exact.  The washer jar (pump style) is missing and the
battery had to be purchased for it.
